Halleck Park Arboretum
Documents |
The Halleck Park Arboretum is a living classroom for residents to see, learn about and enjoy a wide variety of trees. The Arboretum was established by the Papillion Tree Board in 1989, the same year the City of Papillion was recognized as a Tree City USA. The Halleck Park Arboretum was granted official arboretum status by the State of Nebraska in 2010. The Arboretum currently has 115 varieties of trees, and the City of Papillion Parks Department continues to add two to three trees each year. The Arboretum is a beautiful space for residents relax, walk or bike. It is also a great space for residents to see what a certain type of tree might look like in their yard. Residents can plant a tree in the Arboretum to remember a loved one through the City’s Commemorative Tree Program.
